IMPORTANT- FARMING CONNECT FUNDING ACT NOW! Nov 28deadline

You have to have pre-approval before the training can take place and as the target for processing applications is 2 weeks, we would advise you to think ahead and put in applications promptly.

Dates of training do nothave to be put on form, so please don’t wait for date confirmation before you apply, as you may not get approval in time.

Make your application for funding in time; don’t miss out because you apply too late.

Also as this programme comes to an end in March 2015, any applications for training need to be in by NOV28 th for any training you intend to do up to March 2015. Funding rate currently 80%.

So, if you are interested in doing any training in autumn 2014, or up to march 2014 send in a pre- approval form as soon as possible , to ensure you have funding for the intended course in place.

The new programme will start April 2015, but we have no idea if training will be funded again, or at what rate.

STB SPONSORS TRAINING FOR GLAMORGAN YFC

Many YFC members are registered with Farming Connect (FC) and direct family members can benefit from the 80% subsidy for accredited training.
There are many “non-farming” members in Glamorgan YFC so STB are offering a similar subsidy to PAID-UP members of clubs in Glamorgan Federation.

HOW IT WORKS
FOR EVERY FARMING CONNECT FUNDED YOUNG FARMER ON OUR COURSE – STB WILL SPONSOR A NON FARMING CONNECT FUNDED YOUNG FARMER – SO ALL MEMBERS EFECTIVELY PAY THE SAME.

Our stand at the royal welsh show

Wow , were we busy! Great to see past clients, future clients and friends, and thanks to the Lantra staff for their hospitality, and it was great working with the other providers there – Training for the Future (Rob and Suzanne ) and Heads of the Vallet Training (Paul) . The Farming Connect facilitators were great , and I think we all benefitted from the excellent networking going on there . Next door was Go Wales, Chwarae Teg and Food centre Wales, and again good networking and sharing of information went on.
